May is Older Americans Month, first recognized in 1963 as a time to acknowledge the contributions of older Americans. Today, Older Americans Month is also a time to think, or rethink, of blazing a path to a more passionate and fulfilling life. Trailblazers include the famous: people like 69-year-old NASA Administrator,Charles Bolden, Jr., and 84-year-old actress Rita Moreno who brought down the house with a college commencement rap in January. Trailblazers are also everyday people like the residents of a longterm care facility in Arizona who donate their Trading Post profits to worthy causes and Harriette Thompson who, at 92, is the world's oldest female marathon runner.
